As one of the member states of the European Union, France formulates its own food grade regulations on the basis of meeting the requirements of the EU food grade regulations DGCCRF, the General Administration of consumption and anti fraud, has formulated a guidance document, DGCCRF 2004-64 circular, to coordinate with the implementation of relevant mandatory laws and regulations. Although the guidance document does not have legal effect, the interpretation and proposed testing standards and methods in the circular are widely recognized and adopted in actual operation.
