一、1935/2004/EC

EU legislation on food contact materials began in the mid-1970s. The earliest directive is 76 / 893 / EEC, which is a framework directive. Its purpose is to coordinate the legislation of member states in this field and make the mandatory technical requirements of each country tend to be consistent. The current regulation is no.1935/2004 (regulation no.1935/2004/ec of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 October 2004) on food contact materials issued by the European Parliament and the Council on November 13, 2004. Up to now, there are more than 30 EU directives or regulations on food contact materials and products.

The decree 1935 / 2004 / EC stipulates that the products / substances in contact with food must meet the following conditions: they meet the good manufacturing practice (GMP), and when the products come into contact with food, they cannot:

1. Release ingredients that pose a risk to human health

2. Unacceptable changes in food ingredients

3. Reduce the sensory characteristics of food (change the taste, smell, color, etc.)

Some EU Member States, such as Germany and France, must strictly comply with the EU directive 1935 / 2004, as well as local food grade regulations, such as Germany lfgb (LMBG), France dgccrf2004-64, UK Si 898:2005, Law No. 283 of 30 / 40 / 1962 and local decree 21 / 03 / 1973 (d.m.21 / 03 / 73), etc.
